Hi all, this is for a 3 day weekender taking place in the beautiful location of Gwytherin in North Wales from Friday the 16th May until Sunday the 18th May.

Gwytherin is a very historical place... On old maps you can see clearly that this tiny village was once home to 3 chapels, a monestry, 2 Mills, a church and so much more here.

In the church grounds sits 4 ancient standing stones that sit in alignment from east to west and Latin inscriptions are still visible on them to this very day.
Also in the church yard is some ancient yew trees that are believed to be 2500-3000 years old.

The previous church that sat here dates back to the mid 600's and you just know that there's been a tonnes of history and events over the years.

Where we will be Digging is just outside the village of Gwytherin (approx 3 minute drive) and we will be on a minimum of 250 Acres of well grazed pasture.

The land here is great and the scenery is breathtaking... We field tested the land this week and are happy to announce that we didn't get any interference at all and the land is 100% free from any green waste materials and trash.

The land here we will admit is on the quieter side to previous digs that we have had within the area but I'm confident that there's surely stuff to be found going off the history of in and around the village of Gwytherin.

The farmer assures me that no group have ever set foot on his land and there has been plenty of nice things come up in the surrounding area including some bronze age axe heads.

Please note that on the Sunday... the 4 fields that we have centre of the village will be available to detect on and on the entrance to one of the fields is the old village well.

We left the farm after the reccy with 2 silver pre decimals, some buckles, a military cap badge, some toasted coins, some lead and a squashed thimble.

Sat nicely nestled within the valley and beside a narrow shallow stream, this farm and location is ideal for anyone that's wanting a cheap 3 day get away to an area of outstanding natural beauty with unlimited detecting over the weekend between 9am and sunset.

Whilst we were there we were amazed to also see some great low fly by's from various military aircraft as we are just on the edge of the very well known mach loop.

*Tickets for this 3 day event are £55 per detectorist and payment must be made in full to myself (before the event) in order to attend.

*Non detecting guests that are camping are £20 for the entire weekend and under 16's are completely free but must be accompanied by an adult strictly at all times!

*Caravans, Motorhomes and tents are allowed.

*Onsite toilets

*Onsite Drinking Water

*Large Gazeebo/Marquee

*Evening music (Not live)

*Food van (type to be confirmed)

*Breakfast sandwiches and evening BBQ

*Saturday Night Raffle

*Token hunt with prizes

*Onsite First Aiders +defibs & Fire Marshalls

*Elevated fire pits and bbq's are allowed but must be under supervision at all times whilst they are in use.

*Well behaved dogs if kept on leads at all times are allowed.

We will update the group with anymore information as and when we need to.

*Please note that many of the fields here are up a hill and there are various footpaths across the top.

*People may be permitted to drive to the top where some of the other fields are as and when we open them up on the selected days but this yet is still to be confirmed.

*Anyone with mobility issues will have transportation to some of the fields that may be hard to reach.

*The location to the actual farm will be revealed exactly 1 week before the dig takes place and people can feel free to stay in accommodation elsewhere if they wish to but no day tickets as of now are currently available for this 3 day event.

Arrival will be from 12.00 on the Friday.
Everyone must be offsite by 4pm Sunday.

*Further info and maps will be available upon arrival and the what 3 words, location and more will be with you 1 week before the event takes place.

(A maximum of 100 detecting tickets are available for this one).

This is a pay to book event and you need to message myself (Day moss) directly on messenger or through our official website to book your place.
